2008 Sustainable Business Awards – WINNER!

Tuesday, November 25th, 2008

Fantastic news! We won the Sustainable Business Award in the ‘Innovation and Technology’ section. This was sponsored by Business Link who visited our production site and ‘grilled’ us about our production methods and whether we were already selling the product and who to.

We were able to tell them the secret (!) ingredients and how sustainable they are and that the wild flower turf was already very much in the market place and available to all. It is being sold for landscaping projects and green roofs as well as more diverse projects such as the Harry Potter film sets, Chelsea and Hampton Court Flower Shows and Theatre productions (eg Edinburgh and London).

We were given the award during a gala evening at the De Vere Hotel in Southampton where we were treated to a delicious meal made up entirely from local produce and the award itself was designed and created by a Hampshire artist who sculpted a wild flower meadow effect, in a glass pane and set in Holm Oak from a local estate.
